Cake decorating competition terms and conditions

Please read the competition terms and conditions below.

  • This competition is being run by Shelter, 88 Old Street, London, EC1V 9HU. Registered charity in England and Wales (263710) and in Scotland (SC002327).
  • Entry to the competition is free.
  • Only Cake Time participants, who have returned the money raised from their event by the 21st June 2010 will be entered into the competition.
  • Entries will need to either post or email their cake photo entry to events@shelter.org.uk Shelter, 88 Old Street, London, EC1V 9HU with a contact name, contact phone number OR email address in order to enter the competition. Only winners will be contacted by Shelter regarding the Cake Time competition.
  • The starting date for entries is 13th March 2010 and the closing date is 13th June 2010.
  • The prizes have kindly been donated and must be taken as stated and cannot be sold and are not transferable.
  • The winner will be selected in the week commencing 4th July 2010.
  • The competition is open to UK entries only.
  • Shelter does not accept responsibility for late or lost entries. Proof of sending is not proof of receipt.
  • Our privacy policy is that the information you have provided will only be used in connection with Cake Time and the Cake Time competition.
  • No responsibility is accepted for ineligible entries or entries made fraudulently.
  • This competition is not open to employees or contractors of Shelter, any person directly or indirectly involved with Shelter or the running of the competition, or their direct family members.
  • The Kenwood kMix Stand Mixer will be awarded for the cake deemed by the judges (consisting of 3 members of Shelter staff) to be the most creatively decorated cake. The judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  • Once the best decorated cake has been selected, all other entrants will be entered into a draw and the first 10 selected will win a year’s supply of Anchor Butter.
  • The name of the winners and the region they are from will be available to people who enquire in writing or via email.
  • Shelter will endeavour to deliver the prize within three months of the close date.
  • Shelter reserves the right to amend these rules at anytime.
