Cake Time: how to do it

Holding a Cake Time event couldn't be easier. Here's how it works:

1. Register to take part and receive your FREE Cake Time pack. It's chock-full of fantastic recipe cards from celebrity Shelter supporters, stickers, invitations and posters to help promote your event. We'll also give you plenty of great fundraising tips and a guide to organising your own Cake Time. There's loads of useful stuff to download (see left) – so you can get started straight away!
2. Get out your pinny and mixing bowl and whip up something scrumptious. You may think baking's really not your thing, but why not have a go? You might surprise yourself! Try our celebrity recipes.
   
   If you haven't got the time, simply nip into your favourite shop and buy some cakes to share.
3. Invite friends, family, neighbours or colleagues to help you eat your delicious cakes any time from 13-19 March 2010 (or any other date that suits you). You can hold a Cake Time event at home, at work, at your club, church hall or even your child's school.
4. Once they've eaten their fill ask your guests to make a donation to Shelter – we suggest £2 minimum, but every penny counts! Don't forget to ask your guests to complete the gift aid form - this will boost their donation by 25%!
